DESCRIPTION
    returns a string stripped of any leading (leftmost) whitespace
SYNOPSIS
    $ltrim(s)
ARGUMENTS
    s - a quoted string, or string expression
EXAMPLES
# pikt +C 'output $ltrim("    the hedges")'
the hedges
        rule
                set $uptimeline = $ltrim($command("=uptime"))
        rule
